Road Safety

Road safety continues to be one of the worlds most serious public health issues – it is a global phenomenon and it affects everyone, whether you are driving, a passenger, a pedestrian, a cyclist, or motor cyclist, you are a road user.

Unfortunately road accidents do occur. Over 1.2 million people die in road accidents and between 20 and 50 million people get injured on roads around the globe annually. On average one in four road accidents are fatigue related.

These startling facts were revealed recently in the Global Status Report on Road Safety released by the World Health Organization. The survey was conducted in 2008 in 178 countries, covering 98% of the population.

The aftermath of an accident paints a bleak picture where many people receive treatment yet increasing numbers suffer from the resultant psychological trauma.

ACCICARE24 knows this and because we are digital, see to it that immediate, dedicated and specific attention is given 24/7.

ACCICARE24 members are covered irrespective of location, nationality, sex or age. But it’s more than this. It’s about precaution. Delaying the onset of driver fatigue/drowsiness or microsleep before or during a journey,  manages and lessens risk significantly, making roads safer.
